After a spate of bad reviews and constant criticism over her recent performances, troubled pop star Amy Winehouse has decided to pull the plug on the rest of her schedule for 2007. Amy Winehouse has admitted that she’s finding it impossible to carry out her commitments while her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, remains in custody over an alleged incident of inflicting grievous bodily harm on a pub landlord in June last year.
A message has been posted on the official Amy Winehouse website stating that she’s been advised by her doctor to cancel all performances scheduled for the rest of this year. The statement goes on to say that Amy has been under ‘intense emotional strain in recent weeks’. All remaining dates on the UK and Irish tour that were to take place have now been cancelled.
Earlier this year Amy Winehouse cancelled a tour of the USA due to health issues.
