Robbie Williams has been pipped at the post by X-Factor winner Alexandra Burke in this weeks battle for the UK top spot.
Her collaboration with Flo Rider has made it two in a row for Alexandra Burke whose debut single ‘Hallelujah’ provided the 21 year old singer with the much coveted Christmas Number One last year.

The former Take That member has so far enjoyed six chart topping singles in the UK since leaving the band in 1995.

It ’s been reported by The Sun newspaper in the UK that all is still not well in the Sugababes camp.
The new line-up of Heidi Range, Amelle Berrabah and new girl, Jade Ewen seem to have had their first big squabble just twelve days into their partenership.
It was hoped that after the departure of Keisha Buchanan – the final original member to leave the Sugababes – that things would be a lot calmer for the band’s management, but once again they have had to step in to restore order .
The trouble is said to have flared up at a North London photo-shoot on Friday. Apparently Heidi Range and Jade Ewen were kept hanging around while Amelle Berrabah kept receiving calls on her mobile phone.
It was only last week that Heidi stated quite confidently that all three girls have agreed that ‘if there are any problems, we’ll talk about it like adults and get over it’.

Madonna has hit the number 1 spot on the UK album chart for the eleventh time.
This means that the Queen of Pop has now equalled the record held by Elvis Presley for the most number 1 albums by a solo artist.
The only act ahead of Madonna and Elvis are The Beatles, who have so far hit the top spot 15 times.
As far as female solo artists are concerned, Madonna is now way ahead as the most successful female solo artist of all time.
As well as eleven number 1 albums, Madonna has achieved 13 UK number 1 singles and has spent more weeks at the albums’ top spot than any of her competitors.
Madonna also holds the record for highest grossing tour by a female artist courtesy of her recent Sticky and Sweet tour.

The Sugababes have sprung back into action after the shock departure of Keisha Buchanan last week.
New girl Jade Ewen has joined the remaining two members, Amelle Berrabah and Heidi Range in Los Angeles to record some new material.
The trio have already shot a new promo video for their next single ‘About A Girl’.

In a twist to this on-going saga, former Sugababe, Mutya Buena has hinted at the possibility of the original line-up of the Sugababes reforming.
She stated to GMTV’s Lorraine Kelly that the current line-up – now consisting entirely of substitutes – are not really the Sugababes anymore.
She went on to say ‘I’m actually quite disappointed. Obviously the brand name of Sugababes will always carry on. But to say like there’s no original in the Sugababes, it just kind of puts it down a bit.’

The big question now is…Will this current line-up of the Sugababes be able to sustain the phenomenal success achieved by the band so far?

In a shock twist to the Sugababes saga, it’s been officially announced that Keisha Buchanan – the only original Sugababe left in the band – has quit.
Speculation had been rife that Amelle Berrabah had quit the band last week and been replaced by solo artist Jade Ewen.
It has now been confirmed by Island Records that Amelle Berrabah, along with Heidi Range will continue as the Sugababes, and it is in fact these two members who will be joined by UK Eurovision entrant Jade Ewen, and that it is this line-up that will continue as the Sugababes.

Keisha Buchanan announced last night that she was leaving the group that she co-founded 11 years ago because of a “breakdown of communication” and “lack of trust” between the members. Keisha will continue to work for Island records as a solo artist.

The new Sugababes album ‘Sweet 7′ is still scheduled to be released on November 23rd through Island Records. It is not yet clear if new girl Jade will feature in any way on the album.
