UK POP CHART HISTORY - JULY 1972
This week's highest new entry comes in at a rather lowly number 17. The Supremes enjoy their second
top 20 placing of the year with 'Automatically Sunshine'. As with its predecessor 'Floy Joy', the track
was both written and produced by Motown legend, Smokey Robinson.
Unfortunately for The Supremes, this will be their last single (other than a re-issue of 'Baby Love' in
1974) to achieve a placing in the UK top 20.
