UK POP CHART HISTORY - SEPTEMBER 1972
Gary Glitter enjoys his second visit to the UK top 20 with this week's highest new entry at
number 14. At least he actually gets to sing on this record.
The only other new entry this week comes in at number 18. Peter Skellern enjoys his first of only two visits
to the top 20 with the instant easy listening classic, 'You're A Lady'.
Meanwhile, higher up the chart, David Cassidy leap-frogs Marc Bolan's T.Rex to boot Slade off the
top spot with his first of two chart toppers, 'How Can I Be Sure'.
